Our Christmas day

We sure had a fun Christmas. We started our day out opening our presents. We got lots of clothes and toys. Our Great Grandma and Grandpa from Iowa sent us farm animals with John Deer tractor's and our very own John Deer tractor hats. We also got baby Einstein toys from our Grammy in Colorado, she is coming to visit us in two more weeks and we can't wait to show her all the new things we do.

After we opened all of our presents our parents put us down for a nap so they could have a big breakfast of pancakes and eggs.

Later our Grandma DeAnn came over and she brought us a Thomas the train book and a Mickey Mouse book that our Mommy read to us before we went to bed. When the sun started to go down our parents loaded us up in the car and took us into town to see all the Christmas lights. We didn't make it to far in the car before we fell asleep.

We want to Thank everyone for our Christmas gifts and tell you we love you very much.

Christmas Eve...

Today our Grandma DeAnn and cousins came over to bake pumpkin rolls and play with us. We had such a great time. Our Mommy put us in our Silent Night onsies that our Aunt Sylvia bought for us before we were born. Our parents don't think tonight will be a silent night though! Today was so beautiful here in St. George that when our Daddy came home from work we all went for a walk...well of course they pushed us in our stroller. Our aunt Lish sent us a big package in the mail today and we can't wait to open it and see what is inside. We have so many presents under the tree that our Mommy doesn't know where she is going to put everything. She can't believe how much room we take up already. She said her house has turned into a toy store. We have posted some pictures of our day and hope you enjoy them. Love you all, Tristan and Titan

Titan's First's...

Our Mommy let us sneak into some of our Christmas presents a little early! Our parents bought us an exersaucer and we have been having a lot of fun in it; we are able to hit the toys and stand up in our seat. This week Titan had his first mess in the bath tub... Yuck! He also had his first messy face after spitting up on Mommy's shoulder then rubbing his face in it. Our Mommy got a picture of it on her phone but doesn't know how to transfer it to the computer. It is really cute! We are making lots of noise these days, we love to coo along with our Mommy. We also have the biggest smiles you have ever seen. Our Mommy loves to capture them on her phone and send them to friends and family, so if anyone wants her to send a picture via her cell phone just let her know.
We are so excited that Santa is coming to our house tomorrow night. We have been singing "Santa's coming to town" all morning. Our Mommy is so excited to see us open our Christmas presents. She said she hopes Santa brings us lots of clothes because we are growing so fast that she can't keep up. She is also exited for her big present, Our Daddy is buying her a Jogging stroller (so she can get those last ten pounds off) for her to take us running with her. Our Mommy is ready to start teaching us sign language, we mimic her so much already that she just knows our little brains are learning new things every day. Our Mommy has been told that our "Terrible Two's" won't be so terrible if we can communicate with her using sign language.

We are looking forward to our Daddy getting half a day off tomorrow and all day off Christmas day to play with us. We over heard our Daddy telling our Mommy that one of his banks got robbed last week...I guess Santa won't be bringing the robber any presents this year, he's been Naughty!

We love you all very much and wish you the best Merry Christmas ever. HO HO HO!!! Tristan and Titan Dellos

A day with our Daddy...

Our Mommy went to Las Vegas on Saturday to visit her friend Stephanie and left us home alone with our Daddy. We had a great time although we kept Daddy very busy. When Mommy got home Daddy told Mommy he now knows how she feels, being home alone all week with us. We kept our Daddy running, in fact he was running to get us out of our crib because we were crying and he caught his toe on the couch and broke it. Our Daddy's toe is swollen and bruised, it really looks like it hurts. Our Mommy was gone for a total of 11 hours...that's 11 hours too long. She had a great time but missed us terribly.

Our Mommy was looking forward to us being three months old because we now are at the age when we can soothe ourselves. Little did she know it would be with our thumbs. Here is a picture of Titan sucking his thumb.

Here I am sticking my tongue out

Our visit with our cousins

Our visit with our Aunt Ambie, Uncle Carl and cousins was a lot of fun. They didn't get in until late Friday night so we ended up staying up way past our bedtime, leaving us very cranky the following day. On Saturday we played with our cousins when we weren't sleeping and even went to Sears for family pictures. Our cousin Carlee and Lexi loved holding us and our cousin Shae loved playing with our bottle, binky, car seat, and swing, and Zack just like restling with our Daddy, but still thought we were pretty neat. Shae would put her baby in our car seat and carry it around the house, which was very entertaining seeing how the car seat was half her size.

Our Mommy was able to get out for a little bit and do some Christmas shopping, but wasn't able to go to Chalese's birthday party because we wouldn't stop crying for our Daddy. We know we are still very little and are still trying to adjust to our schedule so we probably won't be having any more visitors for a while. It sure has been fun meeting and playing with all our family and friends and look forward to the spring when we can actually get out of the house and go places. Today is our first rainy day and so our Mommy let us sneak into one of our Christmas presents....Einstein DVD so that is what we will be doing today, staying in and watching our DVD. Hope you enjoy our pictures that were taken over the weekend.

3 months

Wow, we are growing up so fast! We went into the doctors office today to get our second round of shots for RSV and we weighed in at almost 13lbs each. Our Mommy and Daddy keep telling us how heavy we are getting.
This month we were given a free shipment of formula...saved our parents about $600, thanks to our local Enfamil rep. Our parents can't believe the generosity they have received this past year.

We have started the Christmas count down, only 23 more days. We are so excited to see what Santa will bring. Our Mommy put up our Christmas tree and turned on the lights for us to see just how pretty it is when it is all lit up; she even layed us under it so we could stare at the lights. We don't really have any plans for Christmas other than staying home with our parents. Our Aunt Ambie will be here this weekend though and she is bringing our 4 cousins, we can't wait to play with them. We know our cousin Shae (3) will have fun playing with us. She will probably think we are her dolls. We just hope that they can get some sleep while they are here, we don't want to scare them away forever. We are getting much better at sleeping longer through the night. On our best nights we can sleep anywhere from 5-7 hours. Our parents really like when we do that.
We don't have any pictures to post today but will take some this weekend and post them later for all to see.

We had a great visit with our Grandpa John, he came from Wyoming to visit us. He was so good with us, he rocked us and carried us all around the house until we wore him out. We're really going to miss him. We can't wait until we are bigger when we can go fishing with him.

Do we look like the kind of boys who could wear anyone out?

Our Mommy went back to work yesterday for the first time in 8 months. She was so tired when she came home that she fell asleep on the couch. It's a good thing she is only going to be working once or twice a month.

Thursday is TURKEY day and we are stuck drinking that nasty stuff our Mommy and Daddy puts in our bottles; we think we should get some turkey and yams too! We have been invited to our friends Ray and Haleens for Turkey dinner but our parents haven't quite decided if we are going or not. They love us so much and they try so hard to protect us and keep us safe that it would really break their hearts if we were to get sick.

We are so greatful for all our friends and family for the love and support they give to us.
The Dellos family would like to wish you all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

A day at the park...

Our Mommy took us to the park for a picnic on Monday. It was a little cold out but she bundled us up and kept us in the sun. Here is a picture of us with our friend Bryson. We weren't able to play on the toys or go down the slide with him but we still had a good time. Our Daddy even stoped over on his lunch break to visit us.

We are getting so big! I (Tristan) roll over any time my Mommy puts me on my tummy. We are smiling all the time now and our Daddy just loves it, he says it makes his day! I have started to blow strawberries and coo and I have been trying to teach my brother how to coo, he does it every now and again. This week our Grandpa John will be here, we are so excited to play with him. Our Daddy will pick him up from the airport on Thursday and take Friday off of work to spend some time with him.

Here is a picture of us in our cute air plane outfits that Aunt Faith and Aunt lish bought for us....Thank You, we love you!

2 Month check up...

We went in for our two month check up and sure enough I passed up my brother. I (Titan) now weigh more than my brother but only by one once. I weigh 10lbs 9oz and Tristan weighs 10lbs 8oz. We are growing so big so fast! We also got four shots each. We both cried but quickly fell asleep. Our Mommy gave us Tylenol for the pain, we just love the taste of that. We will eat anything! My brother even eats his car seat...see my Mommy got a picture of him doing it.

He probably won't gain much weight doing that!

Us after our shots

(Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Richards for our cute outfits)

Mommy's friend Sylvia is on her way to see us and spend time with us this weekend and our Aunt Ambie and cousins will be here next weekend. We have loved having so many visitors. We can't wait for our Grandpa Dellos to come and play with us. We think he is really gonna like us, at least that is what our Daddy tells us.

Happy Halloween

We had our one and ONLY sugar free Halloween. We look forward to next years Halloween when we can actually go trick-or-treating and eat some candy. We did however dress up in our glow in the dark Halloween onsies that our Gramy bought for us.
Next year we want real costumes!

Now that we are getting a little older we have started what we call "play time" in our play land. It is so much fun at this age it just puts us right to sleep.

But we especially love reading time with our daddy. He is so much fun because he always laughs at us when we make funny faces and sounds. He really enjoys being our daddy.

Our mommy takes us outside for long walks in the stroller and that also puts us fast to sleep. Lately we have had such bad acid reflux that our parents are at their wits end. They have tried everything from propping our crib to changing our formula and so far nothing seems to work. We can no longer sleep in our "Boppy's" on the couch because Titan about rolled out of it onto the floor last night, which really scared mommy. We both slept in our crib last night for the first time. We now have to sleep one on each end with our heads together in the center of the crib propped up on a pillow. We cried a lot but we soon realized that our parents weren't going to fall for that trick any more. I think our parents are tired of being tired.

NICU Graduation

Today we went to our NICU Graduation...yes, we graduated. We no longer have to go back because we are doing so well. We are both over 8lbs now. The doctor called us "Chunky Monkey's". My brother Titan has a hernia on his belly button but the doctor said it's nothing to worry about and that our pediatrician will continue to monitor it. The doctor said they no longer do surgery to repair it (like they did on our Mommy's hernia 30 something years ago), THANK GOODNESS! We are going through formula and diapers like crazy, our parent's can't keep up with us. Daddy was so kind to let mommy have a full nights rest last night. I (Tristan) cried every time my daddy tried to put me down. I like to sleep in his arms where it's warm. My brother was really patient and didn't even fuss when daddy was trying to meet all my needs last night. I think we need to get another one of those "BOPPY" things cuz we like to sleep propped up in it. We have really enjoyed having our Grandma and Grandpa Tafoya here this past week and a half but they have to go back home on Sunday. We know that when they leave we won't get to be held as much because Mommy can only do so much on her own.
Mommy took a picture of us taking our first bath together last night. I think from now on we will take our baths separately until we transition into the big bath tub, it's just too much work for my parents.

Believe it or not...

I (titan) rolled over for my first time the other day when my parents weren't looking. My daddy wanted mommy to go out to the mail box with him but mommy felt she had better stay and sure enough shortly after daddy left I rolled from a vertical position in my crib to a horizontal position along the bed rail. I started to cry cause I was stuck so mommy came to my rescue. Mommy was so glad she was there and not outside. She put me in a horizontal position again when daddy came back and I showed them how I did it. I am so big now, I wonder what I'll do next. My brother hasn't rolled yet but I'm sure it won't be long.

oh so big

Our mommy took these pictures of us last night. We have grown so much that we no longer fit in our bouncer seat together. We also have to be separated when we sleep because we can't control our arms and we end up either hitting one another or sucking on each others finger, nose, head, etc.

This is a picture of our Grandpa Tafoya having tummy time with us but we all ended up falling asleep.

Chow hounds...

Our new nick name from our mommy is "chow hounds" because we eat so much and are getting so big. Our mommy took us to see our pediatrician for our follow up appointment and we both gained over a pound and a half. The doctor was very surprised and said we are doing well and that babies are age typically only gain a half a pound a week. I (Tristan) weigh 7lbs 11oz and am 19 inches long...yep, I passed up my brother. Titan only weighs 7lbs 9.5oz and is 19.1 in long.

We had a great visit with our Grammy but she went back home to Colorado and now our Grandma and Grandpa Tafoya are here. Mommy put Grandpa to work in the yard, while Grandma cleans and cooks so mommy can rest. Our favorite time of the day is when daddy gets home from work. He holds us when we sleep and is always there when we fuss.

He loves to sing and read to us and he is always really good about helping mommy in the night. Mommy and Daddy are reading up on how to help us sleep longer through the night but we still like to be up every two to three hours. Mommy tries real hard to keep us on a schedule that allows her to feed one of us at a time but sometimes we wake up at the same time. Last night I woke up and wanted to be fed an hour earlier and my brother wouldn't wake up to eat so mommy didn't get any sleep. Thank Goodness our Grandparents are here to relieve her. My Grandpa helped Grandma with a feeding while mommy was a sleep and told mommy when she woke up that he now knows just how busy mommy must be when there is no help. Mommy is now able to take some time for herself now that there are more hands around to help. Mommy is looking forward to her six week check up next week so she can start exercising again.

We're Home!

Sorry we haven't blogged recently but LIFE IS CRAZY as we know it! We are keeping are parents busy but we're having lots of fun too. We were able to come home on Wednesday Sept 23rd after three long weeks in the NICU. My brother Titan pulled his own feeding tube out, which sped up the process. He figured he was big enough to eat on his own and sure enough he did. We both had to have our tongues clipped because we were killing our mommy to the point she almost gave up on the breastfeeding thing. We are a little nipple confused now between the pacifier, bottle, nipple shield, and our mommy but we are sure trying. We went to the doctors office for our first appointment on Friday. The whole way there our daddy kept telling us that he loved us and what was about to happen was for our own good, we didn't know what he was talking about until we left there with owies in our diapers. I (Tristan) left a little surprise on the doctor...he pulled my diaper off to circumcise me so I weed all down the front of him and made it look like he weed himself. My mommy was so embarrassed but couldn't help but laugh. She wished she had gotten it on tape to send it in to America's funniest home videos. Our daddy had to go back to work on Wednesday and we really miss him. He stays up with us at night and even sleeps on the couch next to us in case we wake up. Our parents put a crib in the living room as well as one in their room and in our room. We are getting used to sleeping through noise. On most days are parents feel like ZOMBIES because we haven't quite figured out our days and nights but they love us anyway. We went for a walk today in our new stroller and have posted a picture for all to see. We have our Grammy from Colorado here helping our parents which mommy appreciates because Grammy lets mommy catch up on her sleep. Next week my Grandpa and Grandma Tafoya will be here. We have lots of family scheduled to see us but Mommy said our friends will have to wait until we get bigger because the doctor told her to keep us away from lots of people until we are six months old. So for now we will keep you all posted through our blog.

Happy Birthday to us...

I am Titan Blake Dellos and this is my older but smaller brother Tristan Luke Dellos and we would like to share our story with you. We were born on Thursday September 3, 2009 at 10:58 and 10:59 pm. We had to come to earth a little early because our Mommy's blood pressure kept rising. We weren't scheduled to come until September 15th but we're glad we came early because my brother had a true knot in his cord. I weighed 5lbs 6 oz and my brother Tristan weighed 5lbs 3oz. We were big babies for only being 34.3 weeks. The nurses and doctors say our Mommy did a great job getting us as fat as she did. I had to wear a face mask for the first few hours of life but my brother only had to have a high flow nasal cannula. On day three I also had to be intubated so they could put surfactant in my lungs to help me breath better... I fought two nurses and a respiratory therapist even with versed on board. On day four my brother was able to be put on room air but it took me until day 5 before I got to be on room air. After we could prove that we were able to breath on our own they let us share an open crib. We like to sleep together! We both still have feeding tubes but Mommy is able to feed us her self a few times a day. The doctor said we can go home with our parents as soon as we learn to eat all of our meals from our Mommy. Our parents are now able to tell us apart. They said at first it was really hard but now we are starting to take on our own looks even though we are identical. Everyone seems to think we look like our Daddy. We have posted a few pictures so you can tell us what you think. We are keeping our parents really busy so we will try to keep you up dated on our blog as often as we can.

Love Tristan
